| Physician - Hospitalist Physician - Hospitalist Physician - Hospitalist Internal Medicine or Primary Care General Privately owned, not-for-profit teaching affiliated health systems in the nation. We are seeking Hospitalists to join our new, forward-thinking hospitalist program within the Medical Group of Christiana Care (MGCC). The Hospitalist will benefit from being part of a growing program with a defined patient population and limited patient load. In this position, the Hospitalist will enjoy the benefits of work / life balance from little or no overnight in-hospital call, a flexible work environment, and an array of support services available from working as part of a larger primary care medical group focused on quality. Duties will include: • Provide quality medical care to hospitalized patients from admission to discharge • Work closely with patient’s primary care and/or specialist physician in management of patient’s care • Participate in hospital quality and performance improvement projects • Participate in regular teaching conferences About Christiana Care Health System: Based in Wilmington, Delaware, serving a population base of 1 million from Delaware and neighboring areas of Pennsylvania, Maryland and New Jersey. Christiana Care has an excess of 1,110 beds in its two hospitals and is the only level-1 trauma center between Philadelphia and Baltimore. Other services include a major, regional heart and vascular program, a high profile NCI designated Community Clinical Oncology Program, the Eugene DuPont Preventive Medicine and Rehabilitation Institute, a primary care physician network with ten office practices, and one of the largest Home Health Care programs in the region. Ideal Candidate Profile and Position Requirements: The Hospitalist candidate will have a minimum of 2 years in hospitalist medicine with a demonstrated knowledge of inpatient medical issues. The Hospitalist will be skilled in negotiating agreements, oral and written communication, working within a multi-disciplinary team, and working within a dynamic work environment. Additionally, the candidate will possess the following: • Post graduate degree from an accredited medical institution • Completion of an accredited Medicine, combined Medicine Family Practice Residency program • Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine | |
